Joining the Choir

Academic year 2021-22: We currently have vacancies for altos, tenors and low basses. If you sing one of those voice parts, do get in touch at any time!

Membership to the choir is done through audition. We usually hold auditions at the start of each term, but we are happy to hear from prospective members at any time. Please fill out the adjacent application form expressing your interest in joining, and we will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange an audition. We rehearse on Thursday evenings during Oxford university terms. 

For the audition, please bring along a short prepared piece. You will also be asked to do some sight-singing.

As a student in Oxford, it is easy to find oneself in the University chapel choir bubble. I found it refreshing to tackle a wider variety of music, including secular repertoire and special commissions, with a group of people from the wider Oxford community.
