For over twenty years the Arcadian Singers have been invited to Ampleforth Abbey in Yorkshire to be resident choir for their Easter Triduum retreat. For a long weekend, members past and present come together to sing services and a concert to the hundreds of guests who attend.
For the singers it's a chance to make music away from the pressures of term and working life, having fun and taking in the gorgeous scenery. Ampleforth has also proven to be a great way of staying in touch with those who have left, and some of the Arcadians who join us have been taking part in the weekend since the link with the abbey was first established.
In 2019 the Triduum will take place from the 18th to 22nd April. You can find out more from the Ampleforth Website, and if you are a singer interested in being involved then don't hesitate to get in touch. As this year is our 25th Anniversary visit to Ampleforth, we are commemorating the occasion by recording an album. You can donate to our crowdfunder here.
